You don't need to be a Tom Cruise, but you do need to know your way around the types and styles of drinks available in a bar.  You are the front person who interfaces with all the guests fronting up for that cocktail, fine wine, a cold beer, fruit juice, or mineral water.  You will need to be knowledgeable on all aspects of drinks and mixers, and have excellent social and communication skills.  You will also need to be thoroughly numerate and have an exceptional personal presence.  Great role to begin your career in the resort field of the hospitality sector.
