Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager of the resort group, your role as Restaurant & Bar Manager is to take charge of this area and deliver the highest level of expertise in managing all these components of the experience for guests.  You must ensure that no guest departs with a negative experience.  In today's high pressure environment, expectations from guests will even be higher for achieving the best value. 

 

At the same time, you will utilise your talent to profitably manage your area of responsibility, including staff management and training.

 

What is important here is that whilst some  "corporate" experience is handy, most important is the ability to hands-on manage your team and not rely on a management structure to ensure maximum performance.

 

So as well as experience in a hotel or resort, appropriate qualifications from a recognised institution are imperative.
