This is a role where perhaps you could be the envy of all!  Whilst this idyllic location will be of appeal, there is a job attached - and one that requires a commitment to work hard and help achieve financial performance and meet deadlines.

 

In assisting the Financial Controller of the resort group, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and related systems functions of a specific area of the resort group, and you will also undertake project work as the resort undergoes change.  As one of two AFC's reporting to the FC, you will be a crucial part of the accounting team driving the operations forward. 

 

You will have a small team reporting so you will need to have had some experience managing and coaching accounting staff, and be the proactive type who ensures that your team is engaged in achieving the required outcomes - accurate and timely reporting.  Strong communication skills, an absolute commitment to "ethical accounting", and an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment is essential. 

 

You must have accounting qualifications recognised in either New Zealand or Australia and possess very good communication skills with English as your first language, or certainly a fluent language.  Both of these criteria are mandatory, so please do not apply if this is not the case.

 

If you've had some experience in the hotel or resort industry, then that would be great. At the very least you will need to have had strong commercial experience in a diverse industry where customers are paramount.
