This is a world class work opportunity to effectively demonstrate your trade skills in one of the South Pacific’s most desirable locations – a 4 and 5 Star tropical resort group.

There is just one catch - "the lights must go on and the air conditioning must work" – there is no compromise!  If it doesn't, the resort closes down.  Your role is to ensure that everything “electricity-wise” works, and works effectively and efficiently.  From the light switches in the rooms, to the flood lights in the garden - it's all in your portfolio.

You will be a fully qualified Electrician with a current practicing licence gained from either Australia or New Zealand, or from a country recognised by either of these countries.  Sound trade experience will have been gained from within either the hospitality industry or akin to a hotel facility i.e. hospital, aged care, contract property maintenance services company.  You will be able to take instruction, get on with the varied job of maintenance or installation so possessing a flexible attitude is essential.  High work standards is a must in a role that can add some much positive experience to the hotel guests stay.

But above all, you must have verifiable skills and be of a personable nature able to communicate and work with a wide range of people.  You will also need to have excellent communication skills.  You will definitely need a healthy and fluent command of English.

Because of the physical nature of this type of work and the tropical climate, you will need to be physically fit, and for immigration purposes, you will be required to pass a comprehensive medical check.  A police check is also mandatory for working in this location.

The location does not qualify as an "ex-pat" location, so if you are after big money, then this role will not suit.  It is likely to more suit a younger tradesperson who wants to diversify his or her experience, or an energetic more mature person who is seeking a lifestyle change and is not "chasing the dollars".
